The most important function of ANC earbuds for me is the ANC. I've been sorely disappointed in my APP ANC. When Bose released their QuietComfort earbuds, I pre-ordered them and have received them. In my opinion, They blow away the APP ANC. The sound is also excellent with good bass. My APP are going on eBay.

I like the app for the convenience. Just put them in your ears and they’re on and you’re ready for a phone call. Do you find it’s the same with the Bose? What about comfort? Are they as comfy? I would think Bose would actually win on the comfort front.

I have the Android App on a Pixel 4. The Bose app is very good. When you put the buds in, you it speaks to you to say the battery level and then it will say connecting to phone. They are all ready to go at that point.

The Bose ear tips are very comfortable and they stay put better than the APP tips. I never thought the APP tips were uncomfortable though.

I agree that the ANC and overall sound are great with the Bose QC Earbuds. The real differentiator for me is that the Bose actually stay in my ears. That's been my biggest disappointment with the APP. It doesn't matter how great they sound or integrate with the overall Apple ecosystem if they don't stay in my ears. My daughter got my APP and they work great for her. To each their own.

Everyone's different and that's why there are a bunch of options so that people can get what's right for them. To think that all companies aren't harvesting our data, including Apple, is naive.

agree with you there. everyone's ears are different! some may work some may not. I am a fan of Bose but I find apple's AirPods pros just add a sense of simplicity in that it just works when you have the watch, go for a run, come back, use your phone...etc. But I'm glad these are working out for you!

Thanks and I couldn't agree with you more on the simplicity aspect with the AirPods. My 12yo was very happy to learn that the AirPod Pros didn't work out for me. ;)

you could easily have bought tape, and the APP would stay in your ears

I got the Sony WH-1000XM3s. Because of the over ear design, the ANC is better than the APPs, but I did not find the difference to be night and day (also tried the Bose). However, they are bloody inconvenient unless I'm using them at home seated on my chair (i.e., not running, etc.). I got the Sonys because of their 30 hr battery life for use in my home office to drown out the AC. APPs everywhere else (and when the Sonys are charging :)). The Sonys sound excellent, as is to be expected for what they cost, but the APPs are pretty good.

I have the Sony WF-1000XM3 ANC earbuds and had the APP's. I'd give a slight edge to the Sony's for ANC and a larger edge for sound quality. Comfort of the Sony's blew the APP's out of the water for me; I even tried foam ear tips but no matter what, the APP's were uncomfortable. I use the the Sony's with two iPads and an iPhone and don't find convenience to be a big issue. I also have the Bose QC 35 II headphones but always reach for the Sony's. I returned the APP's.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That's not to say I don't appreciate a good design, but I don't buy headphones or earbuds to look at.

Agree. I like the look of the APP's but they felt awful in my ears. I have a pair of Bose SoundSports that aren't pretty but feel great and sound beautiful.

I received my new Bose QC Earbuds and I happen to love them. They sound great and fit exceptionally well.
Battery life could be better, and the charging case could be smaller.

Never really enjoyed the apple AirPods or AirPods Pro's as the fit was never very good. However you can't beat the nice small case design of the AirPods which you can just store in your jeans pocket.

I picked up the Bose Sport Earbuds (QC minus the ANC) and I like the earbuds overall but the microphone is pretty poor and that's a deal killer, unfortunately. It sounds like I'm talking from a space station or something. Everyone comments they can't understand me very well. I'm bummed out.

Considering jumping in and trying APP, since I was convinced I wanted the Bose and waited it out but not sure how stable or comfortable they would be.

I tried different sizes of Comply tips but didn't find them comfortable.
I had a worse experience with the Comply tips - they literally broke apart. They just announced a V2 for their APP tips this week but I'm happy with the Bose and my kid is happy with the APP. Win win for me and that's all that matters.
