I just got a brand new Mid-2015 MacBook Pro from a Best Buy and strait out of the box I saw (and can’t unsee) a dent on the bottom corner of the device. Is this a warranted reason for an exchange? Would you deal with it or exchange it for a new one? Especially if you spent $1500+ on this machine. I’ve posted an image as well.

Thanks!

Yes, I think it is a reasonable cause for an exchange if this was a new item in the shrink wrap, especially if it bothers you. It appears to be a small imperfection, but it's an imperfection nonetheless on a product you have a no-hassle return policy on (and have all the right in the world to use.)

Alternatively, I think it is also reasonable to request that Best Buy consider giving you a gift card or refund for some of the price difference of what it would be if this were sold as an open box item. This would save BB money, and put a couple bucks back in your pocket all while allowing you to keep a system that hasn't been handled by someone else and has only a relatively minor marking.
