Hello,

Last year, about this time, I bought my 3GS at what I believe was full price (no att discount)... doesn't that mean that I should qualify for the iphone 4 at the subsidized price?

i was just at the apple store and i supposedly will qualify for the subsidy on february of 2011...

If I should indeed qualify, who should i talk to?

thanks,
r.

You got an early upgrade last year just like me. Thats why you gotta wait till February to get the next full subsidy.
You paid $399 for the 16GB 3GS right?
Full price would have been $599 and you would have been qualified right now.
Not much you can do but wait or pay full price now for the iphone 4.
You can only get one early upgrade every 18 months they told me so I was SOL also :)

Same thing I did
You should be able to "early upgrade" again for $399 or $499 (16 or 32)
Full price is $599/$699

See, thats the thing. I think I paid $600 last year, because I didn't check before I sold my old phone (3g) and, once I learned that I didn't qualify for the subsidized pricing, just decided to buy the 32gb 3gs at full price!

i just checked my credit card statement and i bought the 32gb 3gs last june for $560... doesn't that mean i paid full price for it?

Nope.
The early upgrade is $499 plus tax, thats what you paid.
Full price would have been $699 for the 32GB.

Yep, we'd be eligible for the $199-299 price in Feb.

By Feb 2011 the iPhone 4 would already be in month 8th of it's 12/13 month cycle. You might as well either try to find a used iPhone 4 or wait it out 4/5 months for the 5th gen iPhone.

I wouldn't waste my $199/299 subsidized price on the iPhone 4 by Feb 2011 unless I was sure I would be happy with the iPhone 4 from feb 2011 till July 2012.

well I paid $199 for the 3gs in august and I am due for the for the upgrade in august of this year at the $199 price. according to ATT that is.....
