Did you buy an iPhone online this week, and received an email about shipping dates will be available by July 4th? I just talked to a friend of mine who works at Apple, she said that the email notifications will arrive in your Inbox by 5:00 PM PST.

I didnt order this week, ordered the minute they were available but I can confirm they're beginning to ship as mine was shipped yesterday. The acknowledgement email stated they're being shipped in the order that they were placed. Lemme dig up the email real quick...

"Good news! We're happy to let you know your iPhone will ship by July 6th,
2007. Visit Order Status <http://www.apple.com/orderstatus> for the most
current information on your order. iPhone orders will ship in the order they
were placed.
We're working hard to ship your iPhone as soon as possible. Thank
you again for shopping on the online Apple Store."

But they are shipping now.

I got a confirmation letter about 3 hours after I ordered mine online.
If you ordered this week it should ship by the 20th or shortly after.

Hi,

I got my Email 4 hours ago, and in the order status it says:

Ships by: Jul 20
Delivers by: Jul 24 - Jul 26

Is there any chance, that this will happen earlier, or is the shipping date fixed? I really need it to arrive the very latest at Jul 23, as a friend is then leaving the US and will take it with him to bring it to me.
