Hi.
I personally own the 17" unibody MBP, and my parents just bought the 27" iMac that just released. I have some questions:
1. Is this the first time Apple has offered a 27" iMac?
2. And can my parents still get AppleCare for their iMac even though they bought it at Best Buy?
3. Can you hook your TV to the iMac?
4. If so, can you record TV shows on it (because my dad used to record TV shows from his satellite TV on his old PC with a built-in TV tuner)?
The reason they chose Best Buy was because they approved them for 18 months of no interest payments, and also with my sister home they got the $100 educational discount and a free printer just like you would at Apple.
EDIT: By the way, this is the $1699 27-inch model with the 3.06 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo & 1 Terabyte HD. They wanted 1TB and 21.5" but for $200 more it just didn't make sense when you could get the 27-inch screen. They are very casual users and don't use anything intensive, so the quad-core would make no sense to them whatsoever for another $300 (really another $500 since they were looking at the 21.5" and 1TB).
Thanks.
