Bought New MBP - possible overheating question (my first mac/laptop)

Hey everyone i just picked up the 2.2 15" earlier today. its my first mac and first laptop.

i charged it to 100% then started using it while its plugged in.

the side that the charger plugs into (the left speak area) is getting really hot. is this normal? anyone else experiencing this?

yeah, but only when charging. take it out and it cools down real quick. mine is positively comfy on my lap.

ps - make sure you charge it to full and then use it unplugged until it runs out of juice and goes to sleep on its own. wait 5 minutes and start charging it up again. this will config your battery. do this once every month.
