iPod Bought refurbished ipod nano 3G. Synced music. Froze. Now computer doesn't recognize.

So I bought an ipod nano 3rd gen. It synced all my music and worked fine for a day. I connected a nike+ sensor and it froze. Nothing worked, so I waited until battery died. Once it restarted, all the music was gone and the computer doesn't recognize it. In settings, it says 0 KB Free.

Help!
