I saw the following 2 deals recently:
  • $549 for the 2020 iPad Pro 11-inch from Costco
  • $199 for the Magic Keyboard from Amazon
I ended up pulling the trigger on both but just was wondering if you guys thought this was a good deal? I know the 2020 iPad Pro 11-inch is a year old and doesn’t have the M1 but wanted to get your opinions if you would recommend the above combo at this price.

Thank you for your replies ?

Hey! That’s a fantastic deal. You basically bought both the iPad and MGK for $749; which is cheaper than the a brand new iPad Pro 11”. I wonder why they had it priced so low. But yeah, that’s a steal!

Wow, if I could get them locally here in my part of Europe for that price, I'd be all over it!
Imho very good deal!

I wouldn’t call it great deal but it’s a pretty good deal. I bought the M1 11” for $649 so only $100 difference.

I picked up the 2020 11' 256GB for $750 at Costco last week and I am happy with this. I have a MBP so I wouldn't have gotten the magic keyboard either way. So yes, good deal! I didn't see that on the Costco website! Right now I see $649 for the 128GB 2020 11'.

I think he's referring to using the $100 off $500+ coupon too , and some others in this thread

I ordered my 2021 11" iPad Pro for $624 before tax, after CB and the coupon

and got a $99 Best Buy 'refurb' magic keyboard on the way
Yeah, I think so too — but that coupon expired yesterday I believe.

Good deal, either way!

Yeah, I thought about getting that one too. I guess the reason I ended up choosing the 2020 version for $549 (instead of the 2021 version for $649) was that the 2021 version didn’t have any real noticeable hardware upgrades for me.

I figured since I’m not a content creator the M1 CPU isn’t much of a difference compared to the A12z. I also thought that the more $$$ I spent on my purchase right now, the harder it is for me to walk away from my purchase when I eventually want to upgrade in 2 to 3 years to the future 11-inch iPad Pro with MiniLED.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I really appreciate the feedback. Makes me feel like I made a solid purchase ?

I'm surprised how many of us have gotten 2020 iPad Pros recently (myself being one of them). Thanks for making the thread, back at you - I feel the same way :)

I basically did the same. Was really hoping the 11 inch would be the same mini-LED screen as the 12.9, but it isn't and they're not changing that for a cycle. I have a 2017 10.5 and Costco had a good deal so I went with the 256 2020 11 inch. Website was giving the $100 off as well without the email. Passed on the magic keyboard though.
