As I going to sell my cMP later in the year I went looking for the old box but couldnt find it so this seems a good alternative ?

I'd suggest you box in one of these, then take to FedEx or UPS and have them put a double box around. They can cut/fit a layer of foam/pad around the entire box and custom fit another on top, if you give them enough time and enough of a head's up. That extra layer might be required if you do not want to end up eating the entire sales costs for a dented or damaged case. (Many people buy cheap old units JUST for the case.)
