Braided Solo Loop Fit

I plan on ordering a braided solo loop. I used the tool from apple and my wrist falls between a 7 and 8. So according to their instructions I should order a 7. My question is, I’ve heard from a lot of people that their sizing isn’t right. So should I order a 6 instead? I want to get this right and the apple store near me isn’t allowing people to try them on. Any help would be appreciated.

I think its impossible to answer without trying it on as preference plays a role.

Most likely a 7 should work. If you really like a snug fit on the wrist, 6 might be better. But without trying, hard to tell what your preference should be. The apple specialist will also probably tell you to go with a "snugger" fit. A few folks even prefer a laxer fit so they might tell you to go 8. Each size is about 6 mm in difference or so.

On another note, may be better to wait. Some complaints that are arising are:

1. Fraying
2. Band getting looser over time.

I went to the store and used their sizing band. It said I was between a 3 and a 4. I got the 3 but its a little loose. Im not sure if the 2 would be too tight but my experience is .....go with the smaller size. I do love the band though

In-store I was sized as 7 but I preferred the slightly snug fit of the 6 so that the watch didn't slide along my wrist due to gravity by just raising and lowering my arm.

I measure a 6 with the printed tool and a tape measure. I have the Solo Loop and just received the Red Braided Solo Loop. I got a size 6 in both styles of Solo Loops. Both fit perfectly! I wonder if they adjusted the sizing on the Red Braided Solo Loop since it just became available to order with the iPhone 12s? Too bad that the earlier Loops didn’t fit the same

Measured a 7 in store and chose the 7. Sits perfect for me (I like a slight bit of play). Worn for a month without interruption. No stretching, no fraying, no issue. Bought the Silicone one recently as well. The Solo Loops are comfortable to wear and easy to put on / take off without hassle.

I know this is an older thread, but I’m curious how things are holding up for all of you.

I have two Braided and two Silicone. None are Apple OEM. What I learned is that a size that fits for the Braided will probably need a smaller size than the Solo loop.
I have two Medium Solo Loops and they are both holding up. They fit fine but occasionally when exercising they are not quite tight enough. But I think the Small size will be too tight for me.
The two Medium Braided were much too large - kept practically going round and round my wrist. Sent them back and asked for Small but they haven't come yet.
I also ordered two from another place. I ordered them on November 7th and they came January 20th. Not only that the mediums were much too large and the quality is not even close to the ones I got from the other place I ordered from so not even bothering asking for a smaller size. Since it took so long to deliver - and the company was not very helpful - I ended up having Apple Card dispute the charges.
So, I think the bands will hold up pretty well. Haven't worn them enough to tell if they will get stretched out. However, be careful where you get them from (if not Apple originals). The quality varies greatly.

Thanks for the feedback. Mine are Apple bands. I just got a used Apple solo loop and realized that it has stretched to being slightly longer than the 5 equivalent of the braided loop.

Tricky sizing all around. I have till the end of this week to make up my mind between a 4 and 5 Apple band.

When I had the Solo loops, I went with size 5 and a size 4 with the Braided solo. The braided solo was a little snug at first but, it has stretched a little and fits very nicely.

I took a very snug measurement (basically as snug as I could) with the printout and measured right dead on a 6. I ordered a 6 and it's perfect. I think it's loosened up ever so slightly but it still fits pretty much perfectly.

Ordered a Solo Loop in 11, fit is perfect match for the Apple tool. Just received a Solo Loop in 11 and it's also a perfect fit.

Apple website said I was a 7, so I ordered a 6 and it fits perfectly. Love it!!

I am now very glad that I stuck with Apple’s recommended size. With the weather warming up, the size down would have been much too tight for me.
