Is it ok to get a brand new laptop from the Apple Store with 99% Full Charge Capacity* (instead of 100%) and 7 charge cycles already in? According to CoconutBattery and Battery Monitor.

* I am not talking about the battery charge %, that was at 80%, I am referring to the Maximum Capacity the battery can achieve compared to the Design or Original capacity.

I've got 18 charge cycles and I'm down to 96.3% design capacity, not worried at all. Like Apple_Robert said, this is not an exact science.

What were your numbers brand new? Probably 2-3 and 100%

I had 6 cycles @ 96% brand new. Currently at 67 cycles and 98%. Just forget about it, you'll be much happier.

Something is up with the batteries on the 2021 MBPs. I have a 16" with 12 cycles, capacity is 92.9.

2020 Air, 18 cycles, capacity 99.2

2019 16" MBP, 33 cycles, capacity 98.4

Yes, it was 2 charge cycles but not 100%, it was 99.4%, looking at Coconut battery history right now, and 6030 mAh with design capacity of 6075 mAh.
