smwatson said:so your saying there is nothing else i can do apart from take it back? Will i not loose all my files? And all the software ive installed?? Wonderful. And ist was so good for the first few days...Why has it failed?
Something is wrong with it. Maybe (and that is a very small maybe) you can fix it. But even if you can, how do you know you've truly fixed it and not just temporarily suppressed the problem? Or worse yet, you may make it worse and void the warranty. You just made a huge investment buy purchasing a new computer. Why accept anything less than perfect? Make a back up and then TAKE IT BACK or at least call Apple and get it on the record that something is wrong.smwatson said:so your saying there is nothing else i can do apart from take it back? They probably won't, that is why you must make backups. If this data is really important, you should already have a backup. And you can always reinstall software.smwatson said:but will i keep the fiels and stuff? because i have 4000 photos and about 15GB of tunes which i cant loose. And i have some new software that you can only install on one machine because of the product key?? Will apple transfer everything for me
The F'n joke is that you are trying to justify keeping a computer that obviously has a problem. Lets say you just purchased a car and it has a crack in the front window. Would you keep it because you already adjusted the seat, programed the radio, and put your jumper cables in the trunk?smwatson said:i do have backups on my PC. But it takes an age to transfer them. this is a f**** joke
That is what everyone believed would happen. Why are you excited now, when you fought it before?smwatson said:Complete change in plans...now im getting a brand new one!! I am literally too excited to speak
smwatson said:What was going to happenw as it would be repaired, but now its being replaced. A subtle, but important difference.

They won't, unless he paid the 50 bucks.kingjr3 said:Kiss your files goodbye...If they clone your old drive, I would be very impressed.
