Good morning all.

I have this very odd problem where my brand new, sealed, bought from the Apple store iPad is asking me for about 30 or more complete stranger's Apple ID passwords during an iCloud restore with my own Apple ID. I have never jailbreaked or used pirated apps.

Is this common? Should I be worried my Apple ID's been compromised somehow?

Contact Apple support and check what they say. iCloud issues can only be fixed by them.

Have you ever attached an Apple device to yours/friends/public computer? I attached a iPod Shuffle to a friends PC in a round 2007 and even up until recently when I did a restore I would put my password in then it would ask for 2/3 other iCloud passwords that they had in there iTunes back then. Only recently did I get rid of it at iCloud.com

I gave my son my original iPad Pro (small one). He had the same issue when trying to restore from a backup. When he created new, no problem. I've seen this issue in several threads.

Apple support over the phone wasn't extremely helpful. Oh well, it seems to have sorted itself out.
