I got an iPhone 6s brand new in the factory sealed package (from a regular seller of these, DEFINITELY factory sealed, I know the difference between resealed, refurb, etc...) and since it's probably so "old" and sitting on the shelf it won't power on at all.

I've left it on charge for more than 48 hours (but changing between chargers) and nothing happens, not even a picture of the plug and battery icon or whatever normally pops up on a dead battery, I'm thinking the battery is so dead the charger can't tell that it's a phone/battery.

Since I'm not the first person to buy an old, sealed phone with a super dead battery, is there a trick or something anyone knows of to get the phone to charge? I put it on a 5W charger, and a 12W charger, and on a computer- the computer doesn't recognize it either, which were solutions I found in Google, does anyone know of any other thing to try?

Thanks in advance!

So this isn't something that can be force started if it's the battery? Is a new battery pretty much the only thing to look into at this point?
