Hi,

This is a very strange problem im having with my iPhone SE 64GB running iOS 10.1.1

To Re-Create it (maybe):
Download Animation Throwdown.
Download Clash Royale.

Open Clash Royale check sound is working.
Now try to play music, for me the music stops working.
Youtube videos dont play.

Open Animation Throwdown, there is a bug in that app where the sound comes through the top speaker.
Swipe up to access the Control Center and change the sound from "iPhone" to "iPhone Speaker".
Make sure the game sound is coming through the speaker.
Now exit and open music, music plays!

#########################

Other Notes:

It seems to break randomly, not neccesarily when you open the above game but even if I am just navigating my iPhone then try to play music it wont work.

So I have to do the above to get it working again or restart the phone.

The Questions:

Has anyone here experienced this problem?
Does anyone here know what the culprate is, hardware? software?

The Conclusion:
I'm calling them today to try and get a replacement or upgrade to the 6 or 7, it would be interesting to know if anyone else has experience with this though as I find it extremely strange.

Thanks in Advance,
iGrubby

Since iOS 10 I have started to notice this on Music and on Downcast app. Sometimes I can hear people on my Phone calls but they can't hear me.

I have yet to figure out why this happens. Even using the buttons on my earpods make siri not responsd. In fact, sometimes when I home button to Siri and then talk, there's nothing.

Switched back to iOS 9, it doesn't occur, back to iOS 10, problem comes back within a day.

There are not a lot of games I play, but a lot of apps that do use sound specifically. Such as music, facetime, skype, downcast, netflix, youtube. Name it.

It is fine usually, but when I load a game or a podcast, then suddenly I notice there's no sound. The remedy despite doing whatever is to reboot the device.

It's good to know im not the only one and I have suspected the iOS being the issue, I really dont want to have to restart the phone everytime I need sound, its counter productive and for a "smart" phone, thats not very smart..

Thanks for your reply, i've just got off the phone with O2 and they say I can take it to a shop either for a repair or maybe ill just get a new better one.

Thanks again,
iGrubby

It happens to me the most when I am mid-something that uses audio, and I get or lose a phone call. Where you normally hear the sound that's been lowered a bit to become louder again. But I can't recreate it 'it just happens'.

Just got back from the O2 store, they have taken it to send for "repair", back to my trusty old iPhone 4S

I'll post my/their findings asap

Some apps have ads that will interrupt whatever media your listening to. Very annoying and invasive and to be expected on free janky apps
