My brand new M3 iMac arrived today with Ventura 13.5 installed. When you attempt to upgrade to Sonoma it says the OS isn't supported on this machine and the update dialog says no updates are available. A quick Google search shows the same thing is happening with some M3 MacBook Pro arriving today. Hopefully Apple sorts this out quickly...

My new M3 Pro had 23B2073. Run in Terminal this command, to download 14.1.version 23B2077.

However, My Time Machine is on 14.2 and it is now nowhere to be found

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 14.1

I run Time Machine and was starting fresh with a new Time Machine drive with this particular iMac. Should I hold off with this issue, I have to believe Apple is going to solve this before the end of the day...

I started my TM again with 14.1 Public (23B2077). If I had Ventura, I might hold off until this gets sorted, or I had updated using my link to get 14.1 installed.

Several other weird bugs, like screenshots on the Desktop, not being available.

I had assumed the M3 Macs would come with a special version of 14.1 until 14.2 or whatever got released, perhaps that explains the issues with the 14.1 Public forced install coming from this ancient July build of 13.5
