Brand New Mac Mini Won't Update

So I have a brand new M1 Mac mini and the App Store will not call up any updates. I know that Pages, Numbers, etc are significantly out of date. I have deleted the App Store preferences to no effect.

How can I get the App Store working again?

One suggestion might be to try reindexing your Mac:

Rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac - Apple Support

If you get unexpected results when searching your Mac, rebuilding the Spotlight index might help.

Try logging out of the App Store, then reboot and log back in.

Thank you everyone. The problem sort of resolved itself. After a few days, the updates just showed up. Weird how it took that long.
