Brand new Mac Pro (quad-core/D300s) experiencing graphical glitches? Screens inside

Hi guys, like many I'm excited to finally have my hands on a Mac Pro, even at it's base model (still a huge improvement over my 2009 iMac). My specs are:

D300s, quad-core, 16GB of ram, running OSX 10.9.4.

I bought it only a few days ago at an Apple store but have already noticed some strange glitches/hang-ups. I screenshoted what I could (so far I can't replicate the glitches, they occur randomly regardless what programs I'm running) so here's an imgur album with examples from Final Cut Pro X and others:

I also wanted to test something rendered in 3D, so I tried a game of League of Legends which ran great for almost an hour before this happened and I screen recorded a sample:

I also experience occasional hang-ups (screen locks for a few seconds) regardless what I have running.

I'm assuming this is an issue with the graphics cards? I should note, I noticed some of those tri-angular tears even before installing any of my own software or bringing in old files. I'll probably take it back into the Apple store soon, but thought I'd share the problems here first. If anyone has any suggestions (or knows where else I should post this), I'd appreciate the help. I've seen that kind of display corruption on my old Mac Pro and it was a driver issue. However, that's just one possible cause. I would first update to the latest build of Mavericks if you haven't already (although certainly many of us here would have ran our nMPs on 10.9.4 at some point and didn't have this problem, so I doubt that's going to help). And then I would try to isolate the problem to the Mac or your monitor or your cables by trying different cables or monitors if at all possible.

Second all of the above - first screen shot suggests driver, cables before thinking bad GPU. Update fully to 10.9.5 all the way and repair permissions from the recovery partition and see how it goes..
