Not that I am aware. I don't think apple would let anybody mess with their software or press their logo on their hardware.

Look at AT&T (my carrier), they have stamped their logo on every phone they have issued except the iPhone.

I wouldn't necessarily object to a small Orange logo on the back of the phone

There's your problem.

If you don't object to a slap you really can't complain when you get punched.

Apple knows this which is why they don't allow ANY of that stuff. Once it starts, you can't just stop after "a little bit."

They are not allowed to modify the iPhone in any way. There prohibited from adding there logo externally. They are allowed a carrier wallpaper which is something orange uk will proberly do. There also not allowed to alter the ui in any way. Carrier file and that's there lot. Oh and the nice apple box. Yeah that has to be original too.

Basically if they wanna ship the iPhone thy stick to apples rules. If they don't like it then they don't sell it.

Exactly... This is where I find Verizon may not be happy if in the years ahead ever goes up in the air for them to get it...

It's about time a phone maker made the carriers line up and beg, lol. I guess they'll have their own apps, in the App store, where you can access your account, and maybe download lockscreen wallpapers, etc.

I'd never have a branded iPhone. Guess I'm a certainty for staying with O2.

Interesting to see that the article states that the 3 carriers won't be competing on prices but on 'package content' instead.

Which is, in a way, still competing on prices. If you can get a £35 tariff on orange that is as good as O2's £45 tariff, then orange is a cheaper deal than O2.

I can't wait for this to be released. Finally i won't have to bother with the whole jailbreak/unlock thing. I can finally connect to my computer without the worry of updating lol.

I hope it's not branded. Knowing Apple though, i doubt it will.

I work for Orange and although barely any info has been released to staff, they have updated their handset pages with the iPhone which states it will be branded, most likely just a little orange logo, however nothing definate, it's also being released on PAYG aswell btw

Despite this I still cant see it being branded whatsoever. But if i'm wrong i'm wrong. I can't see Apple allowing a crappy Orange logo on their phones, and i'll be on their side on this one!!

Too bad Orange's logo isn't an actual orange. I bet Apple would allow it if it were. An orange/apple iPhone might be too much for Apple to resist and might allow the branding. :) It would be a collectors item for sure.

It could show Apple's apple eating Orange's profit lol much like the PacMan graphic..

Now I wouldn't necessarily object to a small Orange logo on the back of the phone but I'll draw the line at having the usual custom firmware with useless apps and an Orange wallpaper that can't be deleted :(

Are there any network branded iPhones so far in existence that anyone knows about?

Is it just me or does that link not mention anything about images and custom firmware... It does say orange branded but the writer probably just means orange may be selling them.

So... it's finally happened. We are comparing Apple(s) to Orange(s).

Maybe if Orange throws enough money at Apple, they will brand it...

:D

Really, why?

There are no carrier-branded iPhones (in terms of logos etc) in people's pockets, why change just for two new operators?

Hey thats cool.

Their commercial should be just that.

A picture of the iPhone with just the words, 'Apple, on Orange'.

Who else thinks that the "brand" is probably just the carrier logo... The little thing in the top left of the screen.
