hi all, ayone using it with their MBPro 15"? if yes, how is the fit? does the laptop move in any way inside it? also it seems there is a zipper in the flap, so whats keeping the zipper from scratching the laptop? thks for any input

Well spotted! I was about to buy one when I too saw this design flaw. Really stupid. I bought a Brenthaven Metro instead, which has the added benefit of having space to fit the PSU and accessories, although doesn't look quite as sleek.
i don't know if one can call that a flaw but hopefully someone who actually owns one will tell us about it.
I have this bag on my lap right now as I am typing on my brand new mbp c2d. There is a simple solution...use the screen-keyboard foam partition that comes with your notebook. It protects it thouroughly and is easy to incorperate into your case (ie. tape it on)
thks for your answer, so you do say that the zipper rub against your pbook?? if you could post a pic of that flap (zipper side)? its a bit sad as it is the only case i though was not too big and good looking.
I went with the Brenthaven Metro Deluxe, too, and love it! If you need a larger size, I saw a Brenthaven bag "made for Apple" at CompUSA today, the Pro 12/15, which is a bit larger, and more expensive ($150 vs. $100) - but I prefer the smaller/lighter Metro Deluxe!

Go for the standard Metro. It's actually less tall than the Edge II, but a little thicker.
The Metro has excellent padding - a compound hard and soft "core" protection system. Core padding for a Core processor
Wow. That zipper really is a terrible design. I would have expected more out of Brenthaven. They really do make amazing cases usually.
well, now i'm confused, freestyleguy128 says he taped a foam sheet inside the flap to protect his machine and you're saying that it doesn't scratch the laptop, does the zipper actually come in contact with the laptop?? sorry for being so picky but i really like the case
I use a samsonite leather briefcase/backbag but i also use a sleeve tucase for better protection.... but I still havem't ,move my MBP from home ... is so new, after the first scratch I will make it know the extarnal world (Am I over-protective? )
)Well its kind of hard to tell if it touches the laptop, as you cant see in when its closed, but I dont think it does. Its hard to explain how its made but I will try to explain it.
Basically, as you know, a zip is made of 2 parts. There is the part which actually acts as the zipper part which has a small hook on it, and there is a handle that you use to move the zipper part. Now, on this case, there is no handle, as its made out of string (thick string) and there are no real sharp edges on the acual zipper part of it to scratch the MB. I will do some futher tests and see if it scratches it or if it comes in contact and will get back to you.
One thing is for sure though, if you want to carry alot around with this laptop, forget about this case. It has probably enough room for some headphones, 3 sheets of paper and a couple of CDs, if that much. However, it does hold your MB nice and securely, and you can feel when something feels like it will be protected during a fall, and this will definately do the job.

i was hoping the thing had enough room for the power brick, no chance? anyway i like the thing and have another bag to put it in. i could buy a neoprene sleeve but somehow i dont thing they protect the machine, its just for show. i had a sleeve before and it seems padded but when my alubook fell (did a few times) each time something was bent! i was furious the first time then i got use to it, i want sleeve that does the job this time, that's why i am interested in the brenthaven No chance to fit a power brick in there. Well, you might be able to fit just the brick, but not the plug, making it completely pointless haha.
If you have an apple store around you, you should go and have a look at one in there. I got mine from just passing an Apple store and went in, was just browsing, saw it, thought it was so good and brought it. Mind you, on the macbook, you can see scratches and it scratches much easier, so I cant really comment for my MBP, as I have yet to get a case for that yet.
I wish apple made a good case for it. I might be tempted to get an isock for it.

The protection is excellent - it has a "core" protector, which is a well-padded inner compartment, which has lateral supports which "spring" against your notebook, making it "fit" both MBs and MBPs (very smart design!) and the rest of the case is durable/solid with just enough compartments to hold essentials plus a few files/thin books.
It's the best case I've found!

I'm resurrecting this thread because I was sent one of these (free of charge, no less!) from a really nice Apple customer service rep!
It's seems really stable, BUT, the zipper on the inside does concern me ALOT. Not only in regard to possible scratching, but I am also concerned about putting anything in it as it would appear that it would press down on the lid/screen of my MBP.
All of the reviews at the Apple store are positive with neither of these concerns even mentioned. Anybody with one of these care to comment? Otherwise, Ebay here I come.
