I'd go with the Metro, myself. I have a Brenthaven (forget the model, but it's over 1 1/2 yrs old anyway) and it also has the same zipper design to open the computer sleeve. It gives immediate access to the sleeve. Having the big flap on the Fusion would be cumbersome to me.

i have no direct experience with either bag, but i prefer the look of the fusion over the metro.

When I first got my MBP, I looked at the Fusion messenger and the more simple cases and eventually ended up getting a 15.4" Professional series backpack (which is now discontinued btw) off of Amazon. It's the best protection I could possibly have for my laptop. (You could still probably search "Brenthaven" and find it and other bags on Amazon for cheaper too)

I decided to get the backpack because I need to carry both my laptop and my schoolbooks around campus, and didn't want to have to carry a separate bag. I didn't think that the Fusion messenger would have enough external space, and shoulder bags are bad for your back anyways.

So the big question is, are you planning on carrying anything else with you, or just your laptop? If you just want to carry the laptop, then get the Metro case, but I recommend a backpack if you need to carry anything else - plus a backpack is less conspicuous than a normal case.

Brenthaven Metro Deluxe

My Brenthaven Metro Deluxe will be delivered tomorrow or Tuesday - can't wait! I've been using a bit larger Brenthaven bag for the past 4 years for my TiBook, and it's durable, functional, and protective - the Metro Deluxe looks more compact, yet has plenty of compartments, just what I'm looking for!

I'd recommend a couple of things to go with this: the RadTech ScreenSavrz, which is a great microfiber, thin screen protector to keep the keys away from marring the screen, and another RadTech product, the Sleevz, which is also microfiber, a very thin, lightweight, formfitted notebook sleeve that will fit into any notebook compartment to protect your MBP from scratches. (I get these 2 products for all of my lappies - they're pretty cheap to buy, and being microfiber, you can use them to clean your lappy's screen or exterior!)

:D
