I tried to factory reset my macbook air, and now I can't seem to log in to my computer. I tried erasing my hard disk three times, as well as typing in "reset password" in the terminal window after opening in safety mode. Are there any other things to try and save my computer? I've heard there are problems with Big Sur. Can I download Catalonia to this computer?

TIA

You didn't give any specific information about your Mac, but you could try using Configurator 2 to revive it.

Thanks! And just to clarify: I download the app to another apple device, or do I need to download it to my computer (which is impossible, seeing as I can’t log in)

Yes download to the other Mac. Choose Revive and not Restore, unless you want to delete the data.

Restore also does the firmware.
