My iPhone XS just bricked itself. It was in the toughest otterbox case available and screen protector, since the minute i took it out of the box.
All of a sudden, it got into a reboot loop, not being able to pass the Apple logo. I have tried to reset it, I have tried to restore it using iTunes - nothing.

Is there anything from Apple regarding this issue? I took it to the local authorized representative (no “official” official apple store here) and I got a quote as high as buying a new iPhone 13 (which I _do not_ want to do).

I would appreciate any help on the matter
Thank you

Have you tried DFU mode? It's a bit more extensive than a regular restore.

Also, look into Apple's iPhone Out-Of-Warranty service if you haven't already. It might be a cheaper option.

You could also consider getting a second opinion from another repair shop, just to see if they offer a more reasonable quote.

Cheers!

Yeah with Apple OOW service, you’re looking at $549/$599 (Depending on if it’s XS or XS Max). Which is just not worth it at this stage. Time for a new phone.
