So I was combing thru my .mdbackup files (don't ask) and I came across this set of entries in what appears to be a backup of an Apple plist file named "csidata":

# cat /var/root/Library/Preferences/csidata
GsmRegistrationModel::fBrickMode=0x0
GsmRegistrationModel::fSelectionMode=0x0
GsmRadioModule::fPreviousBootUptime=0x26a
GsmRadioModule::fInAirplaneMode=0x0

Might this be a way of keeping dibs on unlocks? Anyone have a sample of this file from a bricked phone? (no, I'm not willing to brick my phone just to satisfy my curiosity).

LOL. It would be funny if that is all it was. Oops our update set brick mode to true because you hacked your phone. Not our fault :p

Like I ever beleived that BS about the possible bricking of iPhones being incidental to the upgrade process. This should add some steam to some of those law suits.
