my older Apple Watch 5 is brighter than new Apple Watch 8. Is this an expected problem? I tried to fix, but doesn’t change much. Is turns off too fast too. Please help.

I can't help with brightness but for the duration:

Open up the Watch app on your iPhone --> Display & Brightness --> Wake Duration (defaults to 15 seconds, you can set it to 70).

Did you move from an aluminum Series 5 to one of the higher priced Series 8's? If so, the move from ionx glass to sapphire does cause a slight dimming of the screen.
