Brightness on iOS11

Anyone having any issues where the brightness either dims itself or brightens up? This after locking and going back into the phone. It's randomly started to happen today. Did they get rid of the auto feature? First thought was to look for that.

They've hidden it well. For anyone reading this that's interested:

Settings >> General >> Accessibility >> Display Accommodations

Feels like Apple is making a concerted push to increase battery life by ramping up auto-brightness aggression, and tucking the on/off switch away under multiple layers of menus in Settings.

I guess it makes sense with display brightness being a major determinant of battery life. Oh, and with Apple using smaller batteries in the 8/8+.
