bring back red notification badges in dock?

Is there a way to bring back the red badges on Mail, App store etc?

Mine currently look like they'd rather not be there;

Can I have this please?

Make sure you have this option enabled in the Preferences of Mail

Many thanks - I've just worked it out; I had replaced my Yosemite dock with the one from Mavericks as I preferred it, but this doesn't work/shows the badges incorrectly after the 10.10.2 update.

Try cDock

It allows for a few different docks, including the Mavericks one and it still works for me after updating to 10.10.2.
