Hi All

Over the last few months I have nothing but problems on and off with my broadband connection keep dropping, sometimes not at all over several weeks, sometimes more times than you count on both hands in one evening, Arrgghhhh.

BT have put in a new drop wire from the pole to my house, seem to do the trick for a while, then in the last two weeks the broadband drops started again, once again BT paid a visit and this time changed the wire from inside my front door to the NTU. They did there quiet line checks and said the line is acceptable.

I have done the same quiet line test on my internal wiring all is as they say OK.

Each time I contact my ISP they just keep asking me to check my internal equipment and wiring.

Seeing as the BT line seems OK, and my ISP ask to check my equipment, how can I check my router and Mac to make sure they are working OK ? And they are not the root of the problem ? I have no spare router to try.......

Thanks for reading

Which router do you use?

Is it old?

Is its firmware up to date?

Do you have the correct settings set on your router?

Have you tried factory resetting your router and completely resetting it up?
