Broke my 2012 mac mini ram slot

So I foolishly broke my 2012 mac mini ram slot when I was trying to change the ram. Of course, the warranty is already over as well. To contact the mac support, it will cost be something like $25.

anyway, can someone tell me around how much would it cost to repair the ram slot??

Are the RAM slots soldered to the motherboard?
If so, probably take a new motherboard.

My advice:
Put an 8gb DIMM into the remaining -good- slot, and if it boots, leave it at that...
