After loading the newest update to my 3G 20 Gb ipod, it wont work. It turns on and shows the apple logo, then switches to a picture of what looks like the end of the connector cord with an arrow. After this it turns off. I have tried resetting it and plugging it into the external adaptor but nothing will work. Can anyone help me please?

Hi, Kath,

press and hold play and menu at the same time until you see the apple logo.

It sounds like a corrupted file. What's the software version on your ipod? Go to www.apple.com/ipod/download and get the latest 'n greatest software. Update your pod, if that doesn't work, then you may need to find out which songs are f'ed up and get rid of them. Another good thing would be restoring your ipods software, but if you dont have your songs on your computer, then you will need to go to download.com and get podutil to get them back to your computer. Reply if you need anymore help.

I hope this helps.
