my mbp just woke me up with the fan on the right side of the case just going haywire.


makes the computer unUSEABLE. this is not cool.

going to turn it off and let the whole machine cool off for a few hours before i call apple, but this is ridiculous

Mighty fine machine you have there ;) Sorry to hear about your bad luck.
Did you check the temps before shutting it down?

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your MacBook Pro. When you say haywire, what exactly do you mean? Was it turning on and off, revving up very high, or was it making strange noises (ie. grinding)?

Calling Apple would probably be a good idea and if they determine the fan is broken, they will repair or replace your MBP under warranty. If possible, back up your personal files.

its revved up and making noises like a baseball card does when you put it in your bike tire.

calling apple now. this is annoying as hel.
