Hi guys,

I recently broke my iMac by knocking it over, busting the screen. The insurance company (thankfully) got me a new one as the screen is the most expensive part. Now, I have a 1GB Crucial stick in there and I have the 256MB upgraded video card (its otherwise a stock Core Duo 20" iMac). Is it worth anything for spares, to anyone on here to start with (I am in the UK). If so, what kind of price are we looking at. Seen as the insurance don't want it anymore I don't really care what I get for it.

Thanks

Which model is it?

If it has video out, someone could always connect an external monitor to it. Really all the parts could easily be use to either repair or upgrade someone elses iMac, or be used to build a new computer (by putting it in another case), or some other mod project. You local craigslist may have some people looking for exactly that, or here on the marketplace.

Its the white Core Duo (Mid 2006 model I think). I think I'll give it a go, but any idea how much it is worth? Thanks for your help!

sorry guys,
I have seen this thread only today. Anyway...
Yogy477. Do you still have this screen broken imac? If yes, could you please check exactly the model (you wrote "Mid 2006 I think"). I need a replacement for the logic board of my imac :(.
Thanks.
