Ok, so my iPhone 3GS is now broken. The screen is white and you can hear system sounds if they play, but I can not press anything on the screen. I have an appointment to go and see a genius later today, but I wanted to ask a question here before I go.

I bought my 3GS the day it came out from the AT&T store. I decided when I bought it that I should buy AppleCare with it. I however did not register my AppleCare. And I can no longer find the box for AppleCare. Is the AppleCare warranty still valid even if I did register it and I can not register it? Even if not, since it is within one year will they repair it anyways?

Also, what do you think they will do for it from your previous experiences? Will they try to repair it and put a new screen on it? If so, how long would that take them? Or would they just decide to hand me a new phone and say fixing the old one is a waste of time?

Thanks for any answers or advice you guys can give me.

Huh? If you didn't register it and cannot find the receipt/number you may be out of luck as to the Applecare.

Yes

You will likely get a refurb. Your old phone will be refurbished and given to someone else down the road.
