Broken Isight

I re-installed my imac g5 the other day. I have come to use the isight today for the first time in a long time and it's not working right. Basically everything is REALLY dark (if i point the screen at the bulbs above my head i can just see them). I got a hold of iglasses and if i put the brightness up to 99 i can make myself out. Any ideas w.t.f. is going off ? (yes i have wiped it clean !)
