So I had at least two sticky keys on my 2017 MBP. I had already done one repair last year, but the issue is of course there again. The problem is a third key cap broke off. It boggles my mind how it happened. I am a writer, so maybe it was just overuse. Also, it seems one of the keys scratched my screen.

I’m not in the US at the moment so I’m going to an AASP this week. Do you think they’ll still help me even with the broken key cap? I don’t care about the screen scratch even though it irks me, it’s not too noticeable But I do need a working keyboard. If they had the new Airs here I’d halfway consider just buying one.

i would pursue both the kb and the scratched screen.
-recently, at the apple store, they were willing to replace my screen.
- this is a mac RUMORS forum right but recently a post here said apple is willing to warranty the butterfly replacement kb's.

sorry
unless you have money and time to burn look at some windows machines

Take it in for another replacement.
That's really all that you can do.
(brick n mortar Apple Stores remain closed for coronavirus right now, however....?)

Once you get it back, you might consider selling and then getting either a new 16", or try to hold out for the 2020 MBP 14" (supposedly coming later this year)...
