Broken MBP 13" 2018 16Gb 512GB SSD?

As the title says, how much is broken MBP 13" 2018 with 16Gb RAM and 512GB SSD worth?
There was a sell post and the seller said there was an accident and coffee went straight to the keyboard and it won't start anymore. How much is that computer worth?

If i would go to repair store, maybe it cost approximately 1000$?

At the very least it’ll be a new Logic Board, new top case, and that’ll carry a massive cost with only a 90 day warranty.

Save up for a refurb instead, no point risking it on a lemon.

You may be surprised. 18 months ago my late 2013 15-MBP finally stopped working. I took it in and they diagnosed the 1TB SSD, with a replacement cost of about $550. When it came back it had a new logic board and top case, all for the same amount. I asked, and they said they have "levels" of repairs, and once you reach the top one they replace everything that's needed for that price. YMMV, but best to check with an Apple Store.

There is a decent chance your Macbook just needs a new keyboard. Apple seal the top case pretty well. I've encountered a few liquid spills on Macbooks. In each case it was just the keyboard/power button which was hosed. Unfortunately if you don't want to attempt the repair yourself. Neither Apple or an Authorized Service Center will touch it without performing Apple approved work. You'll need to deal with someone who works with liquid damage and Macs. Whom is reputable.

Given the age. DIY will be difficult. You may be able to figure out if it will power on. If you figure out the power on pins. As it is so new. Finding a keyboard and power button will be difficult.

If you can get it to power on and have no luck finding replacement parts. You can carefully disassemble it (removing keys, trackpad, battery and anything else. Then flush the keyboard with contact cleaner (no residue electrical not eyeball). Although I don't know how those key skirts will handle contact cleaner though.

As for value. Looking at 2017 models. You may get $400 to $550 selling for parts only with liquid damage. More if you can get it to power on.

If you bought it with a credit card. You can check and see if they include any warranty with purchases.
