Broken RAM slot!

Hello!
In my mac pro (4.1-> 5.1 one cpu core i7 980x) broken RAM slot! The 16gb of ram is mysteriously turned into a 12 Gb. 1,3,4 is normal, but slot 2 - is red led. SMC,pram,replacement of ram and cleaned of slot is not assist.

Your ram may have gone bad. May have to buy another stick of ram. I bought a new stick of ram once, when I installed it, it was not recognized and the red led lit up. Took it back to the dealer and they confirmed the ram was bad and have me a new stick.

Reseat your bad ram before buying a new one just to make sure though.

I installed in bad slot is many different ram, but still red led.
