I'm sorry as I'm sure this has been covered in previous threads, but I'm being a little bit lazy in not searching. My grand daughter broke the screen on her 5s Iphone. The phone is fully functional and the display is fine, just shattered the glass on the screen. The question is, when you have a phone like this repaired, do they replace the whole screen assembly or just the glass? Thanks,

They will replace the whole screen assembly rather than the broken glass only as replacing the glass only requires strong repair skills and it's very easy to cause further damage during the replacement. BTW, they'll charge you the cost for the whole assembly, too. An iPhone 5s screen assembly replacement costs about 80 bulks, while a glass only replacement costs less than $10. Just for your reference.
