Last night I opened my MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017) and suddenly my right speaker made a loud crisping, cracking and annoying sound. After a few seconds it ended up in silence.

I did a reboot but the right speaker of the computer doesn't work anymore. Some very low tunes are working, but that's all.

That's pretty sad for such an expensive computer imo.

  • Anyone experienced the same issue?
  • Is this covered in the warranty?

It’s covered by the warranty. Price means nothing in electronics any device can fail at any time for any one of thousands of reasons. The really amazing thing is that they don’t fail more often, especially as the drive to put the latest tech in new products means that you are always beta testing hardware.
