Hello All,

So I just bought a Brookstone Outdoor Wireless Speaker.. For those of you not familiar with the system, please refer to the link below.

http://www.brookstone.com/indoor-outdoor-wireless-speakers

My questions..

Since Brooke stone wireless speaker uses a "wireless aux plugged stand" to stream music.. my thought on this is that, If I were to plug the aux end coming out from the stand to my Apple TV.. I can essentially move anywhere around the house and choose any music to play on my brookstone wireless speaker right? (using Airplay) Okay, here is the catch.. the Apple TV 3rd Gen only has a "optical audio" plug thing from the back side.. without buying a "AirPort Express", how can I make this work?

Find a "Optical audio => Aux plug converter" ?

If you know any products that could glitch through this problem please let me know and post a link.

If you don't understand what I'm asking, please ask and I'll respond.

Thanks in advance,

GreentAzn

Yes, you will have to find an adapter to convert the digital signal coming from the optical out in the Apple TV to the analog RCA inputs of this device. There are a large variety of these for sale and their price will vary depending on the quality of the DAC's (digital audio converters) used.
