Brought a new Imac 24"

Just ordered the old refub 24" 3.0.6 from the apple store for £1149

I understand its got a 8800GS into it. Whats this like for gaming ? under XP

I've currently got a MBP with the 9600 and found it fine for gaming but my gaming PC with a 9800GTX does have more muscle.

Whats the shortfalls of the 8800GS ?

1149 pound sounds like a great deal!

i have a imac 8800GS and it runs WoW at high resolution with no problem.

my few complaint is that it becomes really hot when i game and that it is not silent (like i can hear a faint sound in a quiet room)

other than that i love my imac

I also have the 8800, i play cod4 under xp with a fps around 200 - 240. It does get bluddy hot tho haha
