Browse photos and videos from a Mac

When I plug in my iPhone 4 to my Windows 7 computers, it shows up in the Explorer, and I can browse and copy the movies/photos. On my new MBP, iTunes opens, but I cannot seem to find the iPhone in the Finder or by opening iMovie (or iPhoto) and choosing import.

Anyone got a suggestion?
