Browser/email program/etc that uses the least system resources?

I am without a newer pc/laptop for a few months and using my old G3 400mhz iMac. I just bought 512mb of Ram for it (thanks CanadaRam! pleasure to buy from you btw) so now I have 768 total. I am running OS X Panther as well.

Currently I use Forefox and Mail for my surfing/email and Word for WP.

But are they any programs that are more effiecient to help this thing run as best it can? What else can I delete/clear/do to make it run its best?
