I've had my new iPad for a couple of weeks now and I am addicted and have it in my lap at bedtime every night. For the last few days when I do a search on my Safari browser, I get alot of browser redirects. I think I'm going to a certain site and then something else comes up... like VideoCop, etc.
I've cleared the cookies and cache, etc and even tried a different search engine, Yahoo, and Bing and I'm still getting problems. How do I make it stop?

Hi, well that thread is old and I don't have an autofill problem....it's a browser redirect problem. 73 people have read my post since this afternoon, and only 1 person has commented? No one else has this problem?

So when you enter a term into the little search box in the top right corner you get bounced form the normal results page to something else? Did you JailBreak your iPad? Have you tried turning on the pop-up blocker? Could you also maybe give us the webpage you go to when you get redirected? So that I can try it and see if the same happens to me. You can PM me if you want.

I don't know what jailbreak is, so no I don't have that. I just bought my new iPad at the Apple store at my local mall two weeks ago. I have the same problem on my desktop Mac as well. When browsing using safari or firefox and any search engine and I click on a link I'm then redirected to some other site. If I click the back button real quick then sometimes it looks like the site I really should be. Strange.

Some websites redirect from a default address (for example to a specil promotional page). Have you got an example of one?
