I have an older mini running 10.6.8. Last week, the browsers on this computer stopped connecting to the internet, even though the Network app under settings says it is connected, and there are two other Macs on the same router, one of which is also a mini, whose browsers are connecting fine.

I'm running Firefox and Safari on this mini.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Does it also happen in another, even temporarily created, user account?

Have you reset Safari and/or Firefox?

You can reset Safari this way:

Browser not connecting to internet

I just tried resetting Safari and that didn't do anything about the situation.

How would you re-commend re-titling the entry to get more feedback?

Thanks

Have you tried deleting "com.apple.Safari.plist" in Macintosh HD / Users / YOU / Library / Preferences / yet?

I left instructions on how to do it in my first reply. But some moderator already took care of it.
