Does anyone know how/if you can browse files on the iPhone.

Didn't SJ say it would be possible to view PDF documents, this can't be from within iPhoto surely, so some sort of browser must be somewhere. i think it should use the new cover flow view when rotated too, with the preview icons.

it seems to be the only major feature missing at the moment.

I haven't seen the video of the keynote (when would it be available?).

But I guess they would have something to preview PDF, Word, PP, and Excel. And if they miss it then someone would surely make an app for that.

It would be a shame if iPhone is running Leopard, and doesn't bring us the Leopard previews to PDF files. That would be somewhat silly I'd think. Right now, however, I'm thinking PDFs are viewing by clicking an e-mail attachment or browsing the web. That's about it.

Yeah, it can view PDF files. I dont think it is how you are expecting it though... there isnt a 'Finder' or 'Preview' to see the PDF files. I would expect they would just open from an email or the internet. Probably in the Web Browser.

but shouldn't you be able to put a pdf on the iphone to show people, without having to email it to yourself. also, with notepad you must be able to browse for a file to open, so surely other apps could browse for files, why not include a file browser? so you can rename files, create/delete folders and generally manage the system?!

is there even an icon for "system preferences" to adjust backlight time, system sounds etc. i am sure there must be one somewhere, how come no one has noticed?!
