Hi,

Installed iOS 13 PB 5 on my X yesterday. Mixed feelings regarding browsing speed now... Some websites seem to open really quick, some, on the other hand, are quite slower than on iOS 12. MacRumors forums is one example. I have to wait for quite some time before forum pages/threads open now...

Can you comment on browsing speed experience?

Well, macrumors forum site has ALWAYS been slow (ironic). But, yes, after the latest beta, everything is slower. Speedtest is consistant, so it has to be Safari tendering or something.

My iPad 11” is on PB 4. It opens MacRumors/forums a bit faster when doing side by side comparison - Do not know whether it’s due to more processing power or PB 4.

I don't think it's the beta. MacRumors forums is behaving slower than normal today. I thought it was just my lowly 5th gen (A9/2GB) but it's the same on my 2017 Pro 10.5 (A10X/4GB). Both are on iOS 12.

Thank you!
...MacRumors seem to be quicker this morning. ;)

I run the newest public beta on my 12.9 1st gen and have to say there are websites that are heavy with javascript (facebook) that are super slow, especially when scrolling past embedded videos.

iPadOS public beta here. Everything seems faster for me.

Using my iPad with external monitor and mouse feels faster than my MacBook Pro. YMMV

Specific sites can have performance/maintenance issues. To speed things up I always use content blockers (iOS)/ ghostery (macOS)
