Anyone try this app yet? It's called Brushes. I've used it to make two photos for my girlfriend. She loves them so far.

As far as the app goes, it seems to be one of the best I've used on the app store to date. I like it better than Sketches and iDoodle2. It has a clean, neat, organized interface and it lets you make some lovely paintings. Right now it only comes with three brushes, but it lets you change the brush size, the background, has a color wheel with value slider, a color picker, extensive under / redo buttons, and an album viewer. It looks like it was made by Apple. Well worth the $5. I give it six stars!!

Here are a couple drawings I made for the gf:

i guess, i'll have to check it out, is there a lite version?

Not that I know of. It is already pretty light, but packs a massive punch. I got for about 4 bucks, but I have found references to others who picked it up on special for 1.

If you sketch or paint, it's amazing. You can sketch from scratch or import pictures from your camera roll and then paint over those. The speed with which you can work is great, the app is really very responsive. I'll post some examples when I get home, each took me 10-15 minutes on the train. fantastic!
