Hello, everyone.

I just received the new 10.5 Brydge and thought I would share some thoughts for anyone considering buying it.

After only about five minutes with this keyboard, I can say that I’m probably going to return it, which is a shame because I was really wanting to like it.

A major issue that I have noticed is that it does not register many key presses. Just estimating, it seems to not register about 10% of my key presses. This seems to happen more on keys outside the home row because I am less likely to type those squarely. You can fully depress a key on the corner of the key, and no character gets typed. This happens reliably and makes me think this is not a one off flaw the the particular keyboard I received but a general flaw in how much play there is in these keys . This makes the keyboard too unreliable for my use.

I have also noticed that you really cannot swipe up the iOS 11 iPad dock when the iPad is open more than 90 degrees from the keyboard because the bottom of the iPad screen recedes too far below the Brydge body to access. There is a keyboard shortcut to show the dock. (CMD + Option + D), but I thought I would mention this in case it is a deal-breaker for anyone.

The keyboard also feels a tad more cramped than the 10.5 Smart Keyboard from Apple, and it actually is (see photo). It seems to just cross the threshold of comfort for my hands and contributes to typos.

As far as positives, they did add a little indentation at the front edge that makes it easier to open. The 12.9 Brydge I tried did not have this feature.
