BSD Package Download Failed

PLEASE HELP!!!

i jailbreaked my 1.1.4 iphone using ziphone. i installed installer and community sources but everytime i try to install BSD Subsystems i get the Package Download Failed error.

I tried several of the responses in other threads i've seen but nothing seems to work. i've restored, jailbroke again, rebooted, reinstalled installer and community sources and nothing is working.


Does anyone know the correct fix?!?!?

ok so it looks like it's happening to everyone.

but i did find a work around.

that shows you how to install a fake BSD and from there you can install all your apps.
it seems to be working fine now. i've installed most of my old apps. the only thing i can't install now is summerboard. and i guess it's not just me with that issue.

Need to restore via iTunes

I was having this problem too after upgrading to 1.1.4 and using Ziphone. I used iTunes to do a full restore (which cleared the old BSD Subsystem install info) and then after using Ziphone I was able to do a fresh install of BSD Subsystem without any problems.

It does WORK!!!! Props to you for the help....I was practically pulling my hair out!
The install however, wasn't as it stated...I couldn't find the 'FAKE BSD" but I went ahead and installed it anyways.
Since I was having so much trouble with 'installer app', i just went ahead an totally restored through itunes and ziphoned it and went directly into installer app without installing anything prior to following it's instuctions (Cydia's).
Enter the url in installer app like it states, refresh, then turn off the phone (i only did this because it's icon didn't show up on the phone's spring board), hit cydia's icon.....and the rest is history!!!!
